Patina Miller
Miller performed as the Lead Player In The Broadway version of Stephen Schwartz's cult production of the year 1972's musical "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award at the 67th annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" which was a musical with Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well, was directed by Diane Paulus. Patina changed the role Ben Vereen into an actor who won the Tony Award. The actress also learned the movements of Fosse, which are vital to the production. Patina's performance earned her an Tony Award in the category of Outstanding Actress in a Leading Role Musical. The Outer Critics Circle Award was also given to her for Outstanding Actress. Her previous role was Leading Actor on stage at American Repertory Theater in "Pippin" in December 2012 through January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
